Excursions

The surroundings of Rimini offer many interesting itineraries that will lead you to discover uncontaminated landscapes, art treasures and historical pearls. Just in the Romagna inland, along the coast and not far from Rimini, you can find places rich in artistic and historical heritage.

Just drive a few kilometres and you will reach the beautiful Republic of San Marino, one of the smallest and most ancient states in the world, so suggestive with its medieval towers, the Basilica, the Ancient Monastery of Saint Claire, the Gate and the Church of Saint Francis, Piazza Titano and Piazza della Libertà with the Public Palace and the panoramic terrace.

Going towards the Marche region, the beautiful Gradara castle is a magnificent example of military architecture dating back to 14th century. According to legends, this castle may have been the frame to the love story between Paolo and Francesca, made famous by Dante Alighieri in his “Divina Commedia” The village of Gradara, developed around the castle, is really charming and it often hosts shows and folklore events .
The castle can be visited either with a guide or without and is open every day with the following schedule: Monday 8.30 am- 1.00 pm; Tuesday to Sunday 8.30 am -6.30 pm.

Following the river Marecchia, in the North-Western Rimini inland and not far from Montebello, a suggestive valley is waiting to be discovered with its villages: Torriana, Verrucchio and Santarcangelo.

30 kilometres from Rimini, in the Marche territory and behind San Marino, the village of San Leo stands on a massive slope with its suggestive and impregnable fortress perched on the highest peak. Besides the Fortress, in San Leo you can find the Pieve (parish church), the Cathedral and the remains of several castles, the Franciscan monastery of St. Igne, the Dominican convent of Monte, the church of Montemaggio. The visit to San Leo leaves unforgettable memories thanks to its view, one of the best of the whole territory. A few kilometres far you can find the interesting villages of Mercatino Conca, Monte Cerignone and Macerata Feltria, up to Monte Carpegna (1,400 metres above the sea level).

Beach activities

On the beach you can organize Team Building activities and group games such as: Beach Volley and jumbo-racket tournaments, Cheecoting with marbles, Beach golf, water competitions, both swimming and by pedalos. It is also possible to attend courses for Kite surfing, Windsurfing as well as organize one-day boat rides on the Romagna Riviera.

Why not consider a whole day of fun and entertainment in one of the following parks: Acquafan, Fiabilandia and Mirabilandia, L’Italia in Miniatura (Italy Miniature) or the famous “Parco Oltremare”?
